Professional things

Here’s some of my monetizable skills 💸 (yea)

• I’m a senior software developer 🧑‍💻

  • I do both front-end (websites) and back-end (servers).
  • I have been programming with JavaScript for over a decade, and come with knowledge extending all the way back to ES5 (when things were built the hard way).
  • I feel at home with stylesheets, but have a preference for Sass. I also circumstantially use CSS-in-JS (for compliant work) and Tailwind (for design system work).
  • I also have experience with TypeScript, and familiarity with C/C++, Rust, PHP, Python, Lua, Zig, and C#.

• I’m decently savy with a computer 🖥️

  • I operate severs all over the world (and close to home), with nearly a decade of Linux system administration knowledge to back me up.
  • I use Linux, macOS, and Windows on daily basis for both professional and personal endeavors.
  • I’m exceptionally decent at making slides. Give me an excuse to make a whole set of them, and I’ll probably loathe you - but at least you’ll have a hot set of slides 👍

• I’m an aspiring CAD engineering fiend and printing enthusiast 🔧️

  • I am pretty savy at using FreeCAD, and enjoy prototyping and the iterative design process involved in producing consistently good prints and designs.
  • I have a knack for reverse engineering.

  • This website, software solutions, hardware solutions, children - all sorts of things.

• I’m (mostly*) Irish 🍀

  • I have a lot of potatoes in my family history, and I hope continue to plant more.

• I enjoy cooking 🍳

  • Nothing photo-worthy, but my kids at least eat whatever I cook for them - so that’s pretty neat.

• Music is my jam 🎹

  • I am always tuned in to something while I work or relax
  • I have a lot of background in music-theory and composing parts for multiple instruments.
  • I still play keyboard and piano to this day, but I limit myself to that.

• I’m a casually game (on PC) 🎮

  • My (all-time) favorite franchises include Borderlands, Bioshock, and Red Alert (mostly 2)
